Cisternino

The villages in the Itria Valley are treasures that are often unknown and hidden in the countryside covered in olive trees. Among these, the village of Cisternino always manages to surprise visitors, thanks to its picturesque historic centre with white alleyways, squares and churches.

To admire a breathtaking view of the Itria Valley, it is worth venturing into Piazza Garibaldi in Cisternino: in it, you’ll find the green Villa Comunale, the ancient Norman-Swabian Tower, also called Torre Grande, and the Chiesa Madre (Mother Church) of Cisternino dedicated to Saint Nicholas.
